Usage Instructions

Taking a mould of your upper and lower teeth

1 Read all instructions carefully prior to proceeding.   Wash your hands.

2 Using the measuring spoon, measure one amount of the white putty as (Fig B) with an equal amount of the coloured putty.  Replace container lids and seet a timer/watch to three minutes.

3 Make 2 sausages and twist together then quickly begin to knead the two putties together until they become one colour as (Fig C). This should take no longer than one minute as the putty will begin to set.

4 Roll the kneaded putty into a two inch (50mm) long sausage shape and press it evenly into the putty tray ensuring that the majority of the putty is towards the front of the tray as (Fig D).

5 In front of a mirror, place the tray in your mouth and position your upper teeth between the front two edges of the tray nearer to the back of the tray being careful not to scrape the front of your teeth on the inside wall of the tray as (Fig E).
6 Once you have the tray in position, place your thumbs on the underside of the tray under your incisors and press directly upwards as far as you can.
7 Hold the tray steady for 2 minutes. (DO NOT TALK OR MOVE THE TRAY AS THIS WILL DISTORT THE CAST).   After the 2 minutes, slowly pull the tray down and extract it from your mouth.
8 Inspect the mould making sure it has captured the tops of your front teeth and gums as (Fig F).

9 Repeat steps 2 to 8 for your lower teeth.
10 Place both moulds in the plastic bag and complete the Client Information card before placing both in the pre-addressed jiffy bag and popping it in the post. No stamp required. We will then fabricate custom made mouthpieces and send them, within 7 days, to your address.  Once you receive your custom made mouthpieces you are ready to begin to whiten your teeth.

Applying Whitening Gel

1 Brush and Floss your teeth
2 Place a small amount of whitening gel half way up each of the eight front teeth in the mouthpiece. Pull the unused gel back from the nozzle into the syringe, replace the top on the syringe.
3 Insert the mouthpiece into your mouth over your teeth and press the front of the mouthpiece so as to spread the gel across each tooth.
4 If the gel seeps out over the the brim of the mouthpiece then you have used too much. Simply wipe any excess off your gums with a cotton bud.
5 You will naturally produce more saliva than you usually do but this is normal. It will not dilute the gel as your mouthpiece will hold the gel firmly against your teeth.
6 It is recommended that you increase your wear time gradually until eventually you can wear the mouthpiece overnight. You will begin to see results after just a few applications.
7 After each wear remove the mouthpiece and rinse your teeth and mouth. Brush any remaining gel away.
8 Clean your mouthpiece with a soft toothbrush in cold water. DO NOT USE HOT WATER AS THIS WILL DISTORT YOUR MOUTHPIECE.
9 Store your mouthpiece in its container.
10 Store whitening gel in the fridge.

Important Safety Information

Although most people are suitable for teeth whitening, you are advised to visit your dentist prior to proceeding.

Some people may experience a temporary tooth sensitivity when they begin to use the gel. This discomfort is common and can be treated by placing a small amount of de-sensitising toothpaste, such as Sensodyne, into your mouthpiece and wearing it for about 30 minutes or so. All sensitivity should cease as soon as the whitening process stops.

Over a decade of clinical research in the USA indicates that teeth whitening is completely safe, however, White Fangs recommends that pregnant women, nursing mothers and anyone taking any form of medication, consult their GP prior to whitening their teeth.
